Radha Krishna Story

Krishna is seen with his flute and his beloved Radha in the majority of his depictions. Devotees take Krishna’s name as RadheKrishna (Radha’s Krishna). The love story of Radha and Krishna is regarded as one of the greatest of all time. Radha was Krishna’s favourite of all the Vrindavan gopis. Their love was so pure that the names of Radha and Krishna are spoken in unison, as if they are one and the same person.

Radha’s everlasting devotion to Krishna is often seen as a person’s ultimate desire to connect with the divine. Radha, the daughter of Vrishabhanu, became Krishna’s cherished friend, adviser, and consort during his time in Vrindavan. When Krishna had to return to his rightful throne and worldly matters, he left Radha in Vrindavan, where she waited till Krishna overcame his enemies and ascended to the throne. He married Satyabhama and Rukmini and created a family over time, but Radha kept waiting for him. Radha’s devotion to Krishna is regarded as the highest form of worship one can do for his/her divine.

They never married each other but were in love with each other. According to some legends, Radha didn’t think she was the perfect fit for Lord Krishna because she was a cowgirl, hence she was determined of not marrying him.There is also another belief that Lord Krishna used to think of each other as a single soul, therefore he explained how he might marry his own soul.
