When I say why is it important to read to your child, I mean why you should be reading aloud to them.

When we read books to kids it will help them in future to read by themselves because children need some literary skills for reading on their own too which can only be imparted when they listen to us.

Some may find it pointless reading books to an infant. It may seem that babies are too young to enjoy being read to but they’re learning something new at every stage.

You should keep reading books to your child even after he/she learns to read.

Reading is good for both parents as well as the child. It is an opportunity for the parent to bond with the child.

As children listen to you read, they subconsciously pick up correct word pronunciation, word usage, and proper grammar. Their vocabulary gets larger and more extensive.

Listening is a much more complex task for the human brain than watching TV.

Children learn about colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, and when they grow older they discover more knowledge.

Reading helps the kid to develop thinking skills. They develop their own understanding.

Reading helps to build the listening skills and attention span of kids.

Develops Creative Thinking

Reading boosts creative thinking in kids. The Novels and non-fiction books tell the kids anything is possible. It makes the kids dream.

Develops Moral Values

The stories make the kid understand good and evil, what is moral and what is immoral?

Raising a Reader

We all subconsciously know that reading is important. It is the best way to introduce the kids to the world of books and instill a love for reading in them.

Source of Entertainment

Books are a source of entertainment. Funny stories make the kids laugh and giggle.
