On this day, let us remember and honour the sacrifices of our great freedom fighters.

India became independent on 15th August 1947. Since then we celebrate every 15th of August as Independence Day. It is because of all these people, we now live in a free country. Let us honour their sacrifice on this day.

On this day our Prime Minister hoists the flag at Red Fort. Our national anthem Jana Gana Mana is played at the time of hoisting the flag. The Chief Minister of all states also hoists the flag in their respective state capital.

Good morning to all!

We celebrate Independence Day every year on the 15th of August. India became an independent country on 15th August 1947, which means we were free to rule ourselves and were not ruled by anyone else.

On this day India got its independence from British Rule.  Great leaders like Jawahar Lal Nehru, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi devoted their lives for the freedom of our country. On this day let us remember the sacrifices of freedom fighters who fought for the independence of our country. Thanks to their sacrifices, India is a powerful, strong and free country in the world right now.

Since Independence, India has made great progress in the field of science and technology, agriculture, education, manufacturing etc. But India is also facing some problems like corruption, poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, etc. Let us all pledge to do our best and work for the betterment of our country.

Good morning teachers and my dear friends. Wish you all a Happy Independence Day! This is the day for all of us to celebrate and honour our nation.

India celebrates its Independence Day on 15 August every year. On 15 August 1947, India became independent of British rule and became the largest democracy in the world.

On this day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the Indian national flag at Red Fort in New Delhi. He receives the guard of honour from the three wings of Indian armed forces which are Army, Navy and Airforce. 21 gun salute is given in memory of the freedom fighters who fought for the freedom of India.

We celebrate Independence Day to celebrate patriotism and our freedom. It motivates us to bond with each other irrespective of which religion, caste, community, creed, sex or culture we belong to. Let us all work together to make India the best country in the world.

Good Morning to all !

I wish everybody present here Happy Independence Day! On 15th August 1947, India became an independent country. Before that India was under the rule of Britishers. Many great leaders like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Gandhi Ji, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bhagat Singh fought for India’s independence. Today we are free to do anything because our country is independent and free.

Every year on this day, the Prime Minister of India hoists the national flag at Red Fort. The Prime Minister then makes an address to the nation. The President of India also delivers an address to the country. The speech is followed by march past of the Indian Armed Forces and Paramilitary forces. Then there is a 21 gun salute in memory of the freedom fighters who fought for the freedom of India.

On this independence day, let us take a pledge to make our nation a better and peaceful place to live.
